Created in collaboration with women artisans in South Punjab, Pakistan, Jafri is an elegant pillow design inspired by the architectural partitions found in the region’s traditional homes. The graphic hand-embroidered motif, rendered in a hooked-needle technique called aar, has wonderful texture and a striking three-dimensional effect. Made of locally produced cotton, this pillow has a hidden zipper closure and includes a feather/down-fill insert. Proceeds from the sale of this item contribute to Ibu Movement, an organization that provides the means and marketplace for women creators around the globe to achieve the dignity and independence of financial stability.
